Kendriya Vidyalaya Leh is a Co-educational institution was setup in the year
1983 in civil sector
under
chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner LEH in a very small building provided by
the State
overnment.In
the year 2003 for more branches in a remote and far-flung areas of ladakh region up to
primary level were
opened at Skurbuchan
,Khaltsi,Saspol and Karu
villages. The vidyalaya has now
fully blossomed with
doubled section up to class XII Science and Commerce. The vidyalaya
is situated
on beautiful
landscape of 166 canals with good
infrastructure on choglamsar road ,opposite HIMANK
about 4 km from leh city .In this region KV LEH is the first choice for
admission not only for central
government
employee wards but also for local people. It is providing uninterrupted
education to the
wards of central
government employees and defense personnel and floating population of this cold
desert
area .Kendriya vidyalaya Leh has its own staff quarters in its campus to accommodate
its employees.
It has two well furnished computer labs,
well equipped science labs and a resource room.
